A brief history of CZ Engineering Inc.

CZ Engineering started operations in 1993, initially tackling small electrical projects inside the then-fledging Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA). Being from Olongapo City, CZ was one of the first contractors to be accredited by the SBMA, and as such was endorsed to many of the new locators setting up shop in the freeport. CZ was involved in many of the pioneering establishments and industries in the SBMA, such as Subic International Hotel, Neptune, Legenda, Coastal, Koryo Subic, FedEx, Thomson and the Tipo Road Project among many others.

During the APEC summit meeting in 1996, CZ was one of the primary contractors tasked by the SBMA with various vital security system construction projects such as the SBMA-wide CCTV system, streetlighting and the new airport power system. CZ also installed the high-voltage distribution system for the APEC 21 Villas and the new Instrument Landing System (ILS) at the Subic Bay International Airport

By 1998, CZ was heavily engaged in the construction/conversion of the Federal Express (FedEx) Hub and had morphed from being a purely Electrical Engineering contractor into a General Contractor, with Electrical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering capabilities. We were then commissioned by the international contracting firm of John Holland to design and construct the base camp and fabrication facilities for the MALAMPAYA CGS structure at Cawag, the site presently occupied by Hanjin Shipyard. This was the flagship project of the SBMA and the Philippines at that time and CZ Engineering gained a lot of experience by working with prestigious international engineering companies that were involved with the project. Also during this period, CZ built subdivisions, malls and housing projects such as the Alakor housing development in Olongapo City.

The new Millennium saw CZ Engineering continuing to prosper with plenty of new projects such as the Olongapo City Mall, Brand-Rex, Ocean Adventure, KT Tower, Subic Shipyard, Koryo Subic, SBMA convention center conversion and a host of other high-profile projects, such as the 2009 design and construction of a CLEAN ROOM BUILDING in the SBMA. The Company is presently in the finishing stages of the new 4-storey Saint Jude Medical Center in Olongapo City.

CZ Engineering had also undertaken projects in Manila and in other places such as Roxas City in the Visayas, all uniformly completed successfully.
